November 20, 2009. John Kavanagh's Small Rooms: Rags, Jazz, and Encores for Uke is now available for order. The album was nearly complete when John passed away suddenly in May 2009. To honour his memory and to celebrate his life, John's friends and family pitched in to complete Small Rooms using the tracks that John had already recorded. September 26, 2009. Upbeat, The 2009 edtion of the Langley Ukulele Workshop, is held in Langley, BC. A sold-out contingent of ukulele teachers and enthusiasts enjoys a full day of workshops with James, Chalmers Doane, Peter Luongo and Jamie Thomas.
